There has never been a more urgent—and more promising—moment for STEM education. As we face critical global challenges, from climate change to the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, the need for a scientifically literate society and a skilled STEM workforce has never been greater. Advances in technology offer powerful new opportunities to reimagine how we teach and learn.

For over 30 years, the Concord Consortium has pioneered educational technology, creating award-winning probeware, models, online education, novel data science tools, and most recently AI-powered learning environments—all designed to revolutionize STEM education for teachers and students everywhere.
Much of this groundbreaking work has been fueled by sustained, competitive federal funding, especially from the National Science Foundation. But the funding landscape is shifting. Federal support powers discovery, yet it does not cover everything essential to our mission.
To thrive in this new environment, we’re launching a bold strategic initiative.
Answering the call
Our new Future of Learning Fund will expand the reach of our groundbreaking STEM tools while sustaining the innovations that make them possible. Federal funding drives research and discovery but private support allows us to go further—scaling, refining, and ensuring these tools continue to evolve for teachers and students.
With your support, we can:
- Strengthen teaching and learning by providing educators with cutting-edge tools—and continually update and refine them—while ensuring that innovative resources remain available and impactful long after the close of federally funded projects.
- Mentor the next generation by supporting our principal investigators to guide emerging scholars and innovators, offering them individual coaching and support to run projects and cultivate new ideas.
- Foster bold, early-stage ideas through the Tinker Fellows Program, which provides an honorarium to rising educators, scholars, and tinkerers in the field to support exploratory work.
You are invited to get involved:
- If you would like to explore giving options or connect us with potential partners, please reach out to Danielle Kehoe, our first-ever Director of Development.
- If you would like to discuss our programs, vision, and future directions in STEM education or if you have fundraising ideas or connections, drop me a note.
- If you’re able, please consider making a donation in support of our mission. Every gift—of any size—fuels momentum.
I want to take a moment to extend a special thanks to our Board members for their commitment and to all our supporters, including the Valhalla Foundation, for believing in our mission and making this new future possible.
Since our founding by Bob Tinker in 1994, we’ve believed that bold ideas hold the power to transform classrooms, communities, and lives. Thank you in advance for your support.
