Senior Research Scientist
Sherry Hsi is a Senior Research Scientist located in the West Coast office. She leads the InSPECT and Paper Mechatronics projects, and co-leads the Learning Everywhere initiative. Prior to rejoining the Concord Consortium (since she was a postdoc with Bob Tinker), she has served as a director of research at the Lawrence Hall of Science and the Exploratorium, two San Francisco Bay Area science centers. She has designed and studied mobile inquiry, informal learning programs, science learning media, and educational apps. With awesome collaborators, she created Howtosmile.org, the TechHive Studio program, and the AR sandbox exhibit. She holds multiple degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys playing violin, baking, and doing informal science with kids.
