Human Resources and Administrative Coordinator

The Concord Consortium, a nonprofit educational technology R&D organization dedicated to transforming STEM education through technology, is looking for a creative, organized, and personable Human Resources (HR) and Administrative Coordinator to assist in our Concord, MA, office. We're looking for a team player who is excited to work with project leaders, staff, and consultants in a stimulating and friendly environment.

As HR and Administrative Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing fringe benefits including: 403 (b) plan, medical, dental, life and disability insurance, FSA, HRA, and paid leaves
  • Maintaining personnel records
  • Coordinating the recruiting of new employees and conducting our annual evaluation process
  • Processing monthly payroll
  • Keeping up-to-date with IRS, DOL, and employment regulations for Massachusetts and California
  • Coordinating on-site events and meetings, including our biannual meetings of the Board of Directors
  • Ordering and stocking office supplies for staff and project needs
  • Coordinating and ensuring the orderly upkeep of office facilities
  • Serving as a liaison with landlords; establishing new office spaces; coordinating moves

To accomplish this, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources management position
  • A strong background in Excel, Word, and Google Docs and Spreadsheets
  • Strong ability to attend to detail without losing sight of the big picture
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • A proven ability to be a good team player, willing to pitch in and do what needs to be done

You will be even more successful if you have the following:

  • Project management experience
  • Interest in new technology and STEM education
  • Experience in working in a nonprofit organization
