2012 MAST/MSELA Annual Conference: Teach to the Future

The theme of the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST) and Massachusetts Science Education Leadership Association (MSELA) fall conference is Teach to the Future. The crosscutting concepts and science and engineering practices of the Next Generation Science Standards will be inherent in presentations throughout the conference.

High-Adventure Science: Making and Defending Scientific Claims in the Face of Uncertainty

The High-Adventure Science project is bringing the excitement of frontier science into the classroom, engaging students in some of the great, unanswered questions in science. This free online curriculum, which uses video interviews with scientists, interactive computer models, and critical thinking questions has helped students develop good scientific argumentation skills.
The Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST) and Massachusetts Science Education Leadership Association (MSELA) fall conference will provide teachers of science at all levels with the content, strategies, and skills, necessary for teaching science in the 21st century. Teachers who attend will experience new and innovative ways of teaching.
