The Geniverse software is being developed as part of a five-year research project funded by the National Science Foundation. Currently in its fourth year, Geniverse is being implemented by 25 teachers throughout New England. We invite you to try the current Demo version, which includes all the Cases in the full version as well as a rich narrative thread woven throughout the game. However, the Demo Version does not include the ability to save progress through the game (stars will not be saved) or the ability to write to or read the Journal of Drake Genetics. If you encounter any problems with the game, it may help to refresh or reload the web page.
The curriculum contains a lab component consisting of several genetics activities covering three strands in genetics: inheritance, meiosis and DNA-to-Trait. As students uncover the secrets of the dragon genome, they publish their findings in a Journal shared with their classmates and teacher. In this Demo version, the lab activities are available but the Journal is not.
