Kimberle Koile
Senior Research Scientist
Kimberle Koile is a Senior Research Scientist at the Concord Consortium where she directs the LOOPS project. She also leads an educational technology research group at the MIT Center for Educational Computing Initiatives, focusing on the use of pen-based interaction and wireless communication to support formative assessment in K-12 settings. She has designed and implemented software for 20+ years in a variety of domains, including education, chemistry, and molecular biology; and has taught undergraduate and graduate computer science and high school chemistry. She has an undergraduate degree in chemistry from UT Austin, and a Ph.D. in computer science from MIT.
